Finding a wine bar that’s both easy going and thoughtfully curated isn’t always easy. We pondered how to create a space where great wine feels approachable. Whether you are tasting wine for the first time or a sommelier, our rotating wine selection is curated to showcase the best of California.

Alta Vina, or ‘high wine’, is a play on Alta California, or ‘upper California’ in Spanish. We chose the name for our wine bar because it goes with our theme of highlighting the incredible quality of wine found in California.

Kinfolx is a modern-day public square. Kinfolx is a community that is centered on the fundamental value of our shared humanity.

Paul Marcus Wines is a friendly, sophisticated neighborhood wineshop in the Rockridge Market Hall, located in Oakland California. We carry European and domestic wines, with an emphasis on distinctive French, Italian, German, Austrian, Spanish, Eastern European, and Californian producers. We taste and personally select everything in the store in order to bring you the highest quality, most authentic, and best value wines from these regions.

Italian restaurant and wine bar.

We offer an extensive and unique wine list curated by Elizabeth Frumusa, Wine Director, procuring primarily Old World wines with an emphasis on Italian wines. There are more than 20 wines by the glass. One can also purchase any wines retail for up to 50% off the list price.

Our shop is focused on community. In addition to wine, we also offer beer, specialty sodas and a small retail selection of local, artisanal foodstuffs.

Bottles, glasses and snacks can be enjoyed indoors at our communal table, counter, or high-top tables.

Purchase bottles to go or open any bottle in store for a $10 corkage fee.

No reservations; first come, first served. The max occupancy at our communal table is 12 guests; counter seating is also available.

Blind tasting flights Sundays in the Oakland shop, 12-8pm

Located in historic Old Oakland, next to the Downtown Oakland Convention Center, District pairs a menu of globally inspired shareable plates with a thoughtfully curated wine and whiskey program. The result is a memorable tasting experience that you can share with friends and family in a place that feels like home.

Enoteca Molinari is an Italian restaurant & wine bar (with heated outdoor seating) that specializes in house-made pasta and Italian dishes using local and seasonal ingredients. Enjoy our all Italian wine list and don’t forget to try some dessert.
