Where wine takes center stage. A thirty-foot tower of wine in the middle of a glass paneled restaurant is admittedly dramatic, but considering we’re a block away from both the 5th Avenue Theatre and Benaroya Hall: there’s a lot of drama in the neighborhood. Our stage features a cast of wine bar favorites made from seasonal Northwest ingredients, served beside wines from around Washington and around the world.

Le Caviste is a bistrot-à-vins, a wine-bar, located in downtown Seattle offering a broad selection of wines from France, along with wine-based apéritifs. It is a warm and inviting refuge in the bustling heart of the city, where wines are chosen with care and priced to drink every day, accompanied by charcuterie, AOC fromages, and a few specialty plates from its tiny kitchen

The wines are selected to faithfully represent their regional character and reflect the good practices of their makers. Whenever possible we prefer to source wines produced using monitored organic methods and sustainable farming techniques.

​ Le Caviste features a wide assortment of wines by the glass, bottle selections, and all 10 crus of Beaujolais at hand! – not to mention an assiduously maintained retail collection for carrying home to the table or the cellar. From Vouvray to Bordeaux, Burgundy to Châteauneuf-du-Pape, you’ll find just what you’re looking for.

The menu is small but just right for the wines on offer, featuring signature charcuterie plates, AOC fromages, and plats du jour such as steak tartare and poisson en papillote.

We are a sustainability-focused small business and practice reducing our carbon footprint through alternative wine packaging, and wherever and whenever possible. We are able to reduce our carbon footprint by up to 95% for glass and growler pours by utilizing re-usable kegs and sourcing as local as possible. From where we source our grapes for our own wine production, crafted by Ken Dillon, Owner & Winemaker for Footprint Wine Tap, to other producer wines, the vineyard management practices, transport of products, ethical and equitable treatment of employees, education and waste management in our operations, salvaged and re-purposed equipment, furniture and design elements in our space, and having keg wine-on-tap allows us to share high quality local wines and stories with our communities!

Nomadic Wine Dispensary is Seattle’s largest self-pour wine bar with 80 wines by the glass that encourages guests to taste and explore different wine regions and profiles. Our global tapas menu is perfect for sharing among friends and includes a mix of charcuterie boards featuring artisanal meats and cheeses, roasted cauliflower in a yogurt-tahini sauce with Aleppo chili oil, rich and flavorful pastas and luscious deserts.

Founded in 2022, Respite is a wine bar + bottle shop from best friends Hanley Mead and Madisyn Scribner. Respite features wines made sustainably, with care and focus, by transparent wine makers. We want to know what’s in our wine, and won’t pour it unless we do. Our food offerings are curated with the same care, with an emphasis on local, seasonal ingredients.
